Non-forum member, Robert French, a former USCG Officer sent this photo in. He says this boat had a working engine but has been re-powered with a Beta Marine Diesel plus new shaft, cutlass bearing and prop. He also says he had a Bimini built and got rid of coxswain pedestal and put steering station aft so grandchildren could steer. His boat is located on NC coast at Southport. He added that he is a sailor and that the boat rides like a sailboat under power. ~ Thank you for sharing with us!

FORUM member, "ENUF", shared this picture of his whaleboat. He says it is a 1966 MWB built by Miami Boat Corp, extensively modified. Today it is powered by a 1978 Norwegian SABB diesel. Very nice! Thank you for sharing with us, ENUF!

FORUM member, "jaydub", shares these two pictures of his whaleboat. He says the whaleboat was purchased in Florida and then shipped to The Netherlands. He says she is now restored to her original state and that she took two months to clean, sand, paint, replace the oak rubrail, and then install the new 45hp Vetus engine. He says she is now enjoying retirement in the Amsterdam canals. Thank you for sharing with us, jaydub!

Bernard Tulp, shares these two photos of his whaleboat. He says the photos were taken in the wetlands up north in Holland just after the low tide, when they were on their way back to Amersterdam after a two week trip to the German islands. He adds that he bought his whaleboat from whalerman three years ago. Thank you for sharing with us, Bernard!

FORUM member, "Trader Joe ", also shares these four pictures (old photos from about 5 years ago) of his (what the previous owner believes to be) 1922, or thereabouts, whaleboat. FORUM member, "CrescentWhaler", shares these two pictures of his whaleboat. He says she is a 6621, manufactured by Miami Yacht Builders. He said he bought her in June of this year and that she has been in the water since mid July. He said she is not a restoration, more of a "survivor". She is a beauty! Thank you CrescentWhaler!

FORUM member, "Resolute", from Greenport, NY submitted this series of sixteen photographs of his whaleboat. He shares pictures of her in the yard for maintenance, of the first finish coat on the topsides, of the foam core stem weeping water ("So he chased it!"), drying it and adding some more foam, building the stem up, of the interior coming along, and of the stem repaired and primed and taking top coats. He also recently sent the last three images showing her back in service and resting dockside at home. What fantastic work! Thank you for sharing with us, Resolute!

FORUM member, "Island Girl", from Marathon, FL submitted several photographs of his boat, Island Girl, with us and we found it difficult to post only a few. We figured why not post them all for everyone to see! There's a total of eighteen photographs which depict new hull paint (from Kingston Grey Awlgrip to Seafoam Green Awlgrip), hard top, full enclosure, bottom paint, launching and even a trip he took with her down to Hoffman's Cay, Berry Islands, Bahamas. He said he bought the boat in New York and shipped it to Holland. He also said it took him 6 weeks to clean, paint and repair. Tom Byrne FORUM member, "MWB755", from The Waterways in Moriches, NY shares this photo of his whaleboat named "MWB 755", which was derived from the boat's #. This photo was taken on the Forge River. We thank you for sharing your splendid boat with us Tom!

FORUM member, "Larrywhale", submitted this photograph of his 1964 MK-10 MWB "$uch-A-Deal". She has a Perkins 4-108 motor and he has had her for about one year. He says the hull and inside were sanded, primed twice and painted. The foreward bulkhead was cut back to the seats for added room and a custom top was added to protect him from the Florida sunshine. FORUM member, "drydockjoe", submitted photographs of a whaleboat he restored about 10-12 years ago. He says he ran it for a year and enjoyed surfing down the ground swells from Hurricane Bob after it ran by Cape Ann.

FORUM member, "skipper", submitted some photographs of his beautiful whaleboat. He says the name of his whaleboat is Josephine and that she is named after his great-grandmother who worked on Ellis Island as a traveler's aid in 1915.

FORUM member, "psoyring", submitted some photographs of his fine whaleboat. He said he has had his boat since he acquired it from the government in 1992. It is a Mark 5 whaleboat which was produced in 1956. He says the first picture shows the boat being baking soda blasted.

Yet another FORUM member, "barpol", submitted several photographs of his extraordinary whaleboat. He tells us he has had his boat for about 2.5 years and has completed a considerable amount of work on this beauty to date. This first photograph is how it looked when he got it.

FORUM member, Evert Jan de Vries from Amsterdam, The Netherlands, submitted this photograph of his beautiful whaleboat. He said he bought it in Greece years ago and has restored it. He put in a new engine and removed the bulkheads, amongst other practical changes. He is looking for someone who can help him with more information on this whaleboat. Thanks Evert and welcome!
