I purchased this whaleboat last December as a project to keep my fiberglass shop busy during a slow patch. While the boat was complete when we received it, it had been sitting idle for 10 years and was in need of some cosmetic help. After weeks of body work and surface prep we were able to get her into primer. The boat was also stripped of all mechanical systems and each one was either rehabbed and or replaced before being reinstalled. Boat was launched in March and after an initial seatrial discovered the reverse band in the transmission had failed so out came the engine again to rebuild the gear. It was at this time I had the idea to repower the boat with a late model Mercuiser 3.0L 4cyl. My thought was to quiet the boat down so the boat could be used as cocktail cruiser for sunset trips from my house. Boat has now been running the new engine with great success for several months now. Cockpit area is much quieter for a conversation and boat has a lot more pep. Currently we are busy at my shop and unable to find the time for the final finishes the boat requires, ie. final paint, cushions, top ect. I do still have the original Westerbeke Perkins 4-108 and it is included in the sale along with all the original hardware for the boat.
Boat is located in Tavares, FL 32778.

My original thought was to sell the boat as a package. The gas engine I have in it powers the boat perfectly however most whaleboater's have their heart set on a diesel, so figure it would add more value to go with the boat.
I am motivated to sell the boat and send it down the road so give me a ring (407-697-4787) and make me a low offer on the boat or a high offer on the engine.
